Fishing Regulations
Fishing Regulations of H.S.V. 't Rietvoorntje, Hapert
- Members of H.S.V. 't Rietvoorntje must comply with the conditions and legal regulations listed below. Failure to comply with these conditions and/or legal regulations means that a person is considered to be fishing without written permission (permit) and is in violation of the Dutch Fisheries Act of 1963.
- Fishing is only permitted for persons who possess a valid VISpas issued by H.S.V. 't Rietvoorntje or a valid day permit or weekly permit issued by H.S.V. 't Rietvoorntje.
- Fishing is permitted with a maximum of two rods, each fitted with a single hook. Both rods must remain within reach at all times.
- Fishing is allowed from one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset.
- All caught fish must be returned to the water immediately.
- A limited number of night-fishing permits are issued and are subject to additional regulations.
- A special permit may be issued for pike and zander fishing when deemed necessary. Senior members of H.S.V. 't Rietvoorntje who hold a pike permit may catch and possess up to three live baitfish.
- Members of H.S.V. 't Rietvoorntje aged 14 years and older must possess a valid VISpas.
- Fishing is only permitted at the numbered fishing spots.
- With permission from the board, fishing before a fishing competition is allowed up to a maximum of three hours before the start of the competition.
- Upon request by authorized inspectors, the required documents must be presented, and permission must be granted for the inspection of fishing bags and equipment.
- All provisions of the association’s internal regulations and all points mentioned herein also apply to persons who are permitted to fish at the fishing pond and the fire-water ponds located at Kempisch Bedrijvenpark by means of a day or weekly permit issued by H.S.V. 't Rietvoorntje.
- Every member is obliged, whenever possible and preferably with witnesses, to report all violations to the board.
The following are prohibited at the pond and fire-water ponds:

Using a keepnet, taking fish away, or possessing caught fish.

Night fishing without the required permit.

Fishing or groundbaiting with fresh bloodworms (de vasa), dyed maggots, coloured groundbait, boiled potatoes, hard maize, or artificial lures.

Driving motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, or bicycles on the grass. Dogs must be kept on a leash.

Damaging vegetation, plantings, or structures, or using them for purposes other than those related to the fishing pond.

Leaving litter, waste, bait, or similar materials along the water’s edge or elsewhere on the premises.

Stocking fish in the pond without notifying the board.

Fishing from the jetty/pier.

Fly fishing or fishing with floating methods.

Fishing in the designated section of the pond reserved for fry and spawning protection.

Keeping carp in retention sacks.

Fishing for pike without the required additional permit.

Using a bait boat unless specifically authorized. Only carp anglers who are members of H.S.V. 't Rietvoorntje may use a radio-controlled bait boat for feeding carp. The association also owns a boat that is used exclusively for pond maintenance work. Apart from this, no boats or watercraft may be used on the fishing pond or the fire-water ponds of H.S.V. 't Rietvoorntje.
